Thank you for your interest in Cereal City Concert Band. Any performer who has good playing skills is eligible to audition for membership openings in our band. Some of our players play professionally, but most are dedicated amateurs who enjoy performing. See VIDEO/AUDIO FILES for recordings of our music.

Auditions are granted throughout the year and are required to join. Even though there may not be a permanent membership opening for your instrument, we often need interim players to fill in when regular members are not available. If you are interested in joining us, please complete the contact form and we will be in touch.

Who conducts the CCCB?
Our current conductor is Dr. Stephen White. See ABOUT US.

Where do you rehearse?
CCCB rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm in the band room of Battle Creek Central High School. Our season runs from October to May. The summer season is May through September and may only require one or two rehearsals.

What are attendance requirements?
There is an expectation that players make every effort to attend all rehearsals so that we are prepared for a concert. Family and work obligations, illness, or emergency situations may necessitate an occasional absence, but it is assumed that anyone who chooses to be a part of CCCB will try to attend rehearsals.

Are there membership dues?
Each member is required to pay $50 annual membership dues upon the first rehearsal in which they attend. Membership dues are considered a tax-deductible donation as we are 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
